Yoga / Yoga Therapy

There are as many reasons for practising Yoga as there are people. Some are attracted to Yoga by the elegant simplicity of the postures (called asanas), while others are challenged by the more advanced physical and mental forms of Yoga. Some come to Yoga for spiritual reasons, while others use Yoga to develop their bodies to the highest possible level of fitness, flexibility and wholeness.

Many also enjoy Yoga as a supplement to other health pursuits and fitness regimes.
Yoga in a non-competitive activity. Students should never push their bodies to the point where they experience pain or serious discomfort.

Yoga Therapy can be used to help specific ailments, and Mary is happy to take people for Yoga therapy classes, preferably under advice from their GP. Vast numbers of people who suffer from anxiety, stress, asthma, back problems, have gained considerable benefit from their regular Yoga practice.
